Using the app and building with the API are separate plans.
If you work in the Throk web app, subscribe to a web plan. If you're pulling the data into your own code or AI agent, use the developer API. Each is billed separately, with its own credits.

Credits don't carry across
Web plan credits can't be spent on API calls, and API credits can't be used in the web app. Each side is billed and expires on its own, so sign up for whichever one you need.

Every plan includes every API endpoint; the only difference is the monthly credit allowance. Credits are valid for one month from purchase, and unused credits don't roll over.

FAQ
- Can web plan credits and developer API credits be used interchangeably?
- No. The web plans (Free / Creator / Creator+) and the developer API plans are billed separately. Each has its own credits with their own expiry, and they can't be swapped. For API access, sign up separately at developer.throk.ai.
- What are credits, and how are they used?
- Credits are Throk's unit of usage. Viral-post search uses 1 credit per result row, and an AI chat turn starts at 50 credits (depending on the model). Data pages such as leaderboards, ladders and topic trends use no credits; your plan sets how many entries and how many days of history you see.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. You can cancel anytime in your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current period, and you won't be charged again.
- Is there a Pro or team plan?
- A Pro plan (multi-account management, team collaboration, report exports) is in development. For an enterprise plan (API integration, custom reports, a dedicated account manager), email us at team@throk.ai.
- What currency are plans billed in?
- US dollars: Creator is US$20 and Creator+ is US$30 a month. Payment is taken by credit or debit card through our payment processor, Stripe. If your card is in another currency, your bank may add a foreign transaction fee.
- Do I get a refund if I cancel?
- Once you cancel, you won't be charged again. The period you've already paid for runs to its end, then the plan stops automatically. If you were charged twice or a charge looks wrong, email team@throk.ai and we'll check each charge.
